I haven't been able to decide which to name her so I gave her a middle name. LOL! So, I love my wines and cocktails, although, at my age, I have cut back quite a bit. She was born into a thought as I was going through materials just to see what I had. It had been a week or so since I finished the prior one, and I was itching to get another going. The beautiful minty velvet fabric had been sitting around so I began imaging the things I could do with it. I searched out mint and pink colored lace and appliques, and VOILA, her image was born in my head. Her skirt is the fullest one I have made yet. I love tulle, and this minty sweety is draped underneath with 2 yards of mint green tulle. The belt is a beaded belt that I waited on for months. Now that I have it, I can use it as a pattern to make others. I had a time with the bodice. I originally wanted long full sleeves, but it was just not happening. I removed the sleeves and left her back open added a Swarovski Crystal neckline around the back of her neck and draped a beautiful piece of mint green flower lace. Her headpiece is made from a gathered piece of tulle, an applique and a flower on top. I love her!
