Emerald Ginger! A Gift for Nana! Happy Birthday!

I hadn't spent much time on creating anything for my OOAK collection over the holidays. I was so busy creating crafts and gifts for friends and family, but I am back at it. The pictures do not do this beauty justice at all. These green fabrics are stunning with this dolls red hair and green eyes.

I saw the fabric as I was scrolling through, just looking one day and immediately thought of this doll. I made a bodice ( that I need to trim I can see-LOLOLOL) and decided to do a sort of sailor collar with what, I knew, I was going to make the overlapping skirt out of. The under skirt is made of that same material. Of course, as with all of my dolls (or many of them), there is a green tulle skirt underneath to give it that full look. On top, as I said is the fabric from the bodice. Over that fabric, I made one layer of tulle for over t before I attached the appliqued fabric for that layered full look.

Her hair was a bit of an accident, but, WOW - I love how it turned out. I started by making a small bun and kept playing with it until I got what you see.

I am very happy with her.
