Winter Romance- Ice Princess Fairy

A student of my would like to call her the Ice Princess Fairy and I'm ok with that as a second name. LOL I began her on a whim. I took my daughter to Dollar Tree with some of her Christmas money and I noticed some beautiful yann and some stiffer tulle. The colors matched and were quite beautiful, so I decided to buy them and see what would become of them. As usual, when I am unsure what I am going to do, I wind up doing something quite amazing. This Barbie is QUITE AMAZING. She actually is a refreshing cool chill. She makes you a bit chilly just looking at her.

I began with crocheting a bodice out of the fluffy yarn. It was easy enough crocheting her, so I began with the bodice and then added the full tulle skirt to her afterwards. I sewed the skirt to the bodice as it seemed easier than trying to crochet through tulle. I also crocheted a small band to her hair and then attached the full fan in the tulle for the top of the the band.

She has small straps from the bodice to the back, but she looked bare to me, so I added a full shawl that I crocheted and then attached a ruffle from the tulle to match the dress. I assure you that the pictures do her no justice. She is quite stunning in person. I just love her and will make others like her in different colors.

My little daughter loved the fluffy bodice so much, that she has asked me to crochet her a blanket with the same exact yarn, but in purple. If I have any left over, I will make a purple Barbie for that one student of mine - at her request. LOL
