Winter Traveler

This adorable gal gives me a sense of the past. She looks as though she is headed out to catch a train, or maybe shop. This fabric was bought with the intentions of making my daughter Barbie furniture for her doll house. I had this doll that I wanted to do something with, but just not sure. She was lying next to this fabric and an image popped in my head. She was actually very simple to make. I started with the underlying tulle - made to look like a skirt. The coat fabric became just that - a coat secured with a leather belt, collar and hat. The purse/carry on was added as a last minute touch. I JUST LOVE HER!!!!
